Location:

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Type:

Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic, technically skilled, and entrepreneurial professional to lead the

development of our Air Monitoring Department. As the Air Monitoring Lead, you will be

responsible for establishing and growing our air monitoring capabilities — including designing

workflows, deploying monitoring technologies, developing services, building a team, and

managing client relationships.

You will oversee technical setup, field operations, laboratory integration, and commercial aspects

of air quality services — including fixed and portable air quality monitoring systems, equipment

rentals/sales, and regulatory sampling programs.

Key Responsibilities:

❖ Technical Leadership

o Develop and implement air monitoring strategies and protocols using isokinetic samplers,

high-volume samplers, portable monitors, and (eventually) AQMS.

o Lead selection, setup, and calibration of air monitoring instruments (particulate matter,

gases, meteorological sensors, etc.).

o Establish SOPs, QA/QC procedures, and data validation workflows for both field and lab

operations.

o Guide integration of real-time monitoring data into lab systems or client dashboards.

o Ensure compliance with   relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., EPA, WHO, local

environmental authorities).

❖ Operational Setup

o Design and implement operational processes for sampling,

analysis, reporting, and data management.

o Coordinate installation and maintenance of AQMS stations and portable devices.

o Manage inventory, calibration schedules, and maintenance of air monitoring equipment.

o Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure seamless handover and analysis of collected

samples.

❖ Commercial/ Business Development

o Develop service offerings for clients: ambient air monitoring, emissions monitoring, indoor

air quality, and equipment sales/rentals.

o Identify and pursue new market opportunities (government tenders, industries, developers,

health institutions, etc.).

o Engage with suppliers and partners for AQMS systems and air monitoring devices.

o Lead pricing strategy, client proposals, and contract negotiations.

o Monitor profitability, KPIs, and department performance metrics.

❖ Team Building & Leadership

o Define staffing needs and help recruit field technicians, analysts, and support staff.

o Train and mentor team members in air monitoring practices, safety, and compliance.

o Foster a high-performance, safety-conscious, and client-focused culture.

Qualifications:

❖ Education

o Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Chemistry, Engineering,

or related field.

o Advanced degree or business training (MBA, PMP) is a plus.

❖ Experience

o Minimum 5 years of experience in air quality monitoring (field, lab, or equipment sales).

o Experience with AQMS setup and management is a strong advantage.

o Prior experience establishing or growing a technical department or business unit is highly

desirable.

❖ Technical Expertise

o Hands-on knowledge of:

- Isokinetic sampling

- High-volume sampling

- Portable monitoring devices (e.g. PID/NDIR sensors)

- AQMS components (gas analyzers, PM monitors, data loggers, telemetry, etc.)

o Familiar with EPA, ISO, WHO, and local air monitoring standards and methods.

o Experience working with environmental regulatory agencies is preferred.

❖ Business & Leadership

o Strong commercial acumen and experience with budgeting, costing, and sales strategy.

o Ability to translate technical capabilities into marketable services.

o Excellent communication, project management, and client relationship ski
