Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring that BAE Systems maintenance support is delivered effectively to meet RSAF requirements and mitigate any activities likely to prejudice maintenance or safety, whilst remaining within the constraints the RSAF may apply to the Hawk Fleet.

They will be responsible for providing support to the Approved Maintenance Organsation (AMO) to ensure delivery of serviceable aircraft to TAGF in order to accomplish the contractual operational and flying commitments.

Responsible for training technicians and maintaining a strong safety culture whilst fault finding, repairing and delivering serviceable assets to maintain the customers daily flying programme.

In addition, the Avionics Technician is to provide accurate and up to date information to their Line Managers to ensure the ETIC schedule is achieved, ensuring solutions to any arising issues are identified and rectified during maintenance activities.

The management of repairable components into the supply repair channel and ensuring the team maintain efficient and effective supply discipline.

Ensure the procedural compliance governing Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) calibration cycles, Support Equipment maintenance cycles, and the Tool Control system.

Be able to work in close harmony within a mixed EE/SN workforce

Be able to demonstrate sound oral and written two-way communication skills with the ability to be tactful, discreet and confident in dealing with people at all levels

Must be a quality minded, mature, individual that adopts a positive and proactive approach to aircraft maintenance and support issues

Desired Candidate Profile

Essential:

Have extensive, post qualification, practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR substantial experience on same aircraft type

Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.

Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role.

Desirable:

An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures.

Broad aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge

The successful candidate, Saudi or Expatriate must obtain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level, prior to starting the new role or commencing employment in KSA, SCE membership must be maintained throughout their employment in this role.

A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA,

Relevant type training ( Q Course) and equipment specific training if required OR Part 66 licensed (current or lapsed), or suitable equivalent technical license acceptable to M&CA.
