Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs and supervises aircraft electrical and environmental (E&E) functions and activities performing as an experienced 5 Level Journeyman or 7 Level Craftsman.
Troubleshoots, inspects, removes, installs, repairs, modifies, overhauls, and operates aircraft E&E systems, components, and associated support equipment.
Uses technical data, wiring diagrams, ohm meters, electronic measuring equipment, GSE and special tools. Expert level in accomplishing and training of wire repair procedures.
Uploads operational software, flight programs (OFP) into system components and maintains currency and software upgrade efficiency.
Expert level to inspect, analyze and evaluate electrical and environmental systems malfunctions, aircraft heating/air conditioning, avionics cooling, cabin pressure, OBOGS, fire and overheat detection systems, AC power system, DC power system, external power system, lighting system to include, exterior, interior, emergency, position lights, anti-collision, formation, slipway lights, taxi light.
Remove install, adjust, operational check, bench-check, service the following: landing gear system, handle, control switches, arresting hook indication/canopy indication/overheat fire/master caution/fuel warning and control systems, anti-skid, brake holding, nose gear steering, secondary flight control, engine bleed air, fire extinguishing system, squibs, fire bottles, start and ignition/air conditioning/pressurization systems and liquid cooling systems.
Interprets inspection findings and determines adequacy of corrective actions.
Reviews maintenance management publications, time compliance technical orders and procedures for accuracy and currency, confirms corrective actions and accuracy of aircraft maintenance records.
Recommends methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance procedures. Acts as quality assurance for the trade.
Performs OJT and instruction, supervises and accepts work performed by RAFO technicians, acts as supervisor and mentor for the shop and directs daily maintenance performed.
Required to perform assigned tasks within your work center that directly supports necessary functions of this job classification.
REQUIREMENTS:
Recent, 5 years F-16 electrical and environmental (E&E) Block 40 or above experience.
Very experienced 2A6X6 5 level or 7 skill level or equivalent with proven record of F-16 flightline (Organizational) or back shop (Intermediate) maintenance environment.
Must be willing to train to other aircraft maintenance tasks as required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Current Passport
PREFERENCES:
Air Force AFSC 2A656 or 2A676 with F-16 Block 30/50 experience.
Block 50 experience
Desired Candidate Profile
Recent, 5 years F-16 electrical and environmental (E&E) Block 40 or above experience.
Very experienced 2A6X6 5 level or 7 skill level or equivalent with proven record of F-16 flightline (Organizational) or back shop (Intermediate) maintenance environment.
Must be willing to train to other aircraft maintenance tasks as required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
