Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a subject matter expert in Aircraft Maintenance - Avionics to develop high-quality academic curriculum and courseware for City & Guilds (C&G) Level 3 Diplomas. The candidate will ensure alignment with L3 QHB standards and industry best practices, producing engaging, up-to-date content that effectively prepares students for real-world aviation environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop curriculum and courseware for City & Guilds Level 3 Diplomas in Avionics systems.
- Ensure all content complies with Level 3 Qualification Handbook standards and reflects current aviation technologies and practices.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop accurate, up-to-date, and engaging training materials.
- Integrate theoretical knowledge with hands-on application to support competency-based learning.
- Review and revise existing courseware to ensure compliance and relevance with C&G and industry standards.
- Provide instructional guidance and support to other developer’s within the team and instructors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Avionics Engineering, or equivalent military/EASA Part 147/66 B2 training centre.
- Experience in aircraft maintenance (Avionics system) or related academic curriculum development.
- Familiarity of digital data buses (e.g., MIL-STD 1553, ARINC 429) and integration techniques.
- Proven experience in developing or teaching City & Guilds Level 3 programs to Level 3 QHB standards.
- Strong knowledge of aviation systems, including Avionics technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with instructional design software and digital curriculum tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, instructional materials.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience delivering curriculum in military or commercial aviation settings.
- Familiarity with modern military aviation systems technologies (e.g., Typhoons, Tornados or equivalent).
- Knowledge of competency-based training frameworks and assessments.
