Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1.Responsible for the urgent procurement and distribution of aircraft materials, parts, equipment, and supplies.
2.Negotiate pricing, credit, and account limits. Initiate day-to-day Technical Purchasing activities to support Aircraft Maintenance (Line & Base) AOG requirements, General Consumables/Ratables, Line stations, and Workshop needs.
3.Raise and send Purchase orders to Suppliers or Airlines in accordance with Airline procedures. Maintain hard-copy and inventory system records to support internal and external audit requirements.
4.Ensure transparency of all transactions and self-monitor purchasing activity to maintain company interests and policy.
5.Check and verify invoices associated with all purchasing activity.
6.Ensure timely follow-up of open purchase orders to meet operational requirements.
7.Provide part status movement, alternative plans, and other material issues as required.
8.Ensure all suppliers of Technical Materials meet Gulf Air Quality Assurance Department requirements and Bahrain Civil Aviation Authority regulations.
9.Liaise with Suppliers to support queries raised by Stores Inspectors and clear discrepancies with minimum delay.
10.Liaise with the Finance Department to ensure supplier invoices are authorized for payment promptly, ensuring correct cost allocation and avoiding credit hold situations.
11.Raise and maintain Invoice Query Logs associated with Supplier Invoices or order discrepancies as necessary.
12.Establish reports to monitor Supplier performance and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
13.Consistently monitor material AOG demand to optimize availability lead time.
14.Coordinate with Base Maintenance, MCC, and logistics teams for timely support on spares requirements.
15.Liaise with Gulf Air Technical Materials Planning to maintain sufficient stock levels and material availability to support operational requirements.
16.Establish and update a communication contact list for all AOG support requirements on a 24/7 basis.
17.Maintain an efficient filing system and handover procedure between each shift.
18.Develop an AOG support procedure manual in conjunction with internal customers.
19.Collaborate with end users to compile Business Cases and supporting data, while ensuring adherence to Bahrain Tender Board Committee requirements.
20.Assist with AOG support, including Loans and Exchanges, as required.
21.Undertake projects and produce detailed reports on Technical AOG Purchasing as directed by Senior Management.
