Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
This Aircraft Performance Engineer is responsible for ensuring accurate aircraft performance data and compliance with aviation regulations, supporting safe and efficient flight operations through monitoring, training, and coordination with key personnel.
Main Responsibilities:
- Constant monitoring and updating of airport database.
- Evaluate, calculate, and publish aircraft performance data such as maximum allowable take-off, cruise and landing weights using PEP program from Airbus.
- Conduct instructional training on aircraft performance and weight and balance for pilots and dispatchers.
- Plan and coordinate the Department s activities in providing aircraft performance data required by pilots, flight dispatchers and stations personnel.
- Undertake when directed performance flight checks to determine actual aircraft and engine performance levels.
- Conduct research and evaluation of new routes as to airfield performance and payload capabilities for possible operations by the Company.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in aviation technology particularly on aircraft performance.
- Maintain Aircraft Performance Degradation (APD) calculations and providing tail specific APD parameters for OFP Production.
- Ensure meeting regulatory requirements of GACAR Part 157.
Desired Candidate Profile
- BSc in Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering or an Equivalent.
- A320 training certification.
- Minimum 2 years airline experience in the field of aircraft performance.
