Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
2. Maintain and service moderately complex electrical aircraft systems, parts, and related aerospace equipment.
3. Install improvements and upgrades to electrical aircraft systems, parts, and related aerospace equipment.
4. Operate all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) as required to service aircraft while on ground.
5. Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and modify moderately complex aircraft systems, parts, and related equipment including electrical generators / battery, generator controls, power switching and control equipment, internal/ external lighting, crew station console, and electrical harnesses.
6. Conduct functional tests of repaired components and systems to ensure they are working properly.
7. Independently prepare statements and reports (e.g., deficiency reports, maintenance analysis documents, technical data changes, and equipment records) timely and accurately to meet GAL and departmental requirements, policies and standards.
8. Record maintenance and repair information on data collection forms and automated system to ensure all needed data is captured and recorded.
9. May provide on-the-job training and coaching to junior technicians to support their overall development.
10. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
11. Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
12. Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
