Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Prepares, sets up, and checks all anaesthesia-related equipment, including anaesthesia machines, physiological monitors, transducers,TEE, and paediatric and adult carts.
Prepares, labels, and administers anaesthesia-related medications under the direct supervision of the anaesthesiologist and as prescribed.
Assists in the preparation and execution of anaesthesia procedures, including general, regional, and local anaesthesia, invasive and non-invasive monitoring, chemotherapy, blood transfusion, and organ transplantation as required.
Ensures the availability and readiness of all required drugs, infusion fluids, supplies, and anesthesia equipment before and during surgical procedures.
Documents anaesthesia-related data accurately in the anaesthesia chart under the supervision of the anaesthesiologist, following completion of required training and competency assessment.
Assists the Anaesthesiologist during anaesthesiainduction, including manual ventilation and intubation, as required and undersupervision.
Supports the Anaesthesiologist during emergencysituations, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, trauma cases, andactivation of the major disaster plan.
Verifies blood and blood products with theanaesthesiologist and administers them under supervision in accordance withestablished policies and procedures.
Collects, inspects, cleans, and prepares anaesthesiaequipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
Maintains anaesthesia equipment and reports anymalfunction or safety concerns promptly to ensure uninterrupted clinicaloperations.
Adheres to infection control, patient safety, andquality standards while handling anaesthesia equipment and supplies.
Performs additional anaesthesia-related duties asassigned to support safe and effective patient care
Follows all Hospital s related policies andprocedures.
Participates in self and others research, education,training, and development, as applicable.
Performs other related duties, as required.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s or Associate Degree /Diploma in Anaesthesia is required.
Grade 08:
Two (2) years of related experience with Bachelor s or four (4) years with Associate Degree/Diploma is required.
Grade 09:
Four (4) years as Anaesthesia Technologist at KFSHRC, or (Grade 08) related experience is required.
Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5)for the last four (4) years
Fifty (50) hours of cumulative continued medical education [CME].
Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
