Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment is hiring an Animal Care Apprentice to join the Global Snow team at the Snow Dome in Dubai. The role supports the Animal Care and Welfare team in daily husbandry tasks, animal training, and guest interactions while maintaining the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and animal welfare. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about animal care and wildlife education who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic entertainment environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in daily animal husbandry tasks, including feeding, cleaning, monitoring, and maintaining animal habitats.
* Support trainers and caretakers during animal training sessions and guest interactions.
* Conduct routine health and behavior observations under the supervision of senior staff.
* Prepare animal diets, manage feeding schedules, and ensure proper food storage and hygiene.
* Maintain enclosures and presentation areas to meet safety and welfare standards.
* Participate in guest encounters and educational presentations, promoting awareness of animal welfare and environmental conservation.
* Monitor stock levels of feed, cleaning materials, and equipment, reporting any shortages promptly.
* Follow all operational safety and Life Support System (LSS) procedures to ensure animal and visitor well-being.

Ideal Profile

* Certificate or diploma in Animal Care, Zoology, Marine Biology, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
* Basic understanding of animal behavior, handling, and welfare principles.
* Physically fit and comfortable working in cold environments and performing physically demanding tasks.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with confidence in public speaking.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and record-keeping.
* Knowledge of LSS (Life Support Systems) and general HSE standards preferred.
