Roles & Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and proofread app text including onboarding flows, notifications, help articles, microcopy, and UI labels to ensure clarity, consistency, and user-friendliness.

  • Localize and adapt content for Arabic-speaking users while coordinating with translators and reviewers to maintain tone and cultural relevance.

  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to ensure content fits UI constraints and supports product goals and user journeys.

  • Maintain content style guides, glossaries, and naming conventions to ensure consistent language across the app and related communications.

  • Perform content QA by reviewing in-app text for accuracy, typos, broken links, and contextual errors before and after releases.

  • Use content management tools, spreadsheets, and simple tracking systems to log changes, manage iterations, and report on outstanding issues.

  • Collect user feedback and report recurring content problems or improvement opportunities to the content lead.

  • Participate in Tamheer Program learning activities, training sessions, and mentorship meetings to develop communication and product skills.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; current students or recent graduates in communication, translation, linguistics, mass communication, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic; English proficiency is an advantage.

  • Strong attention to detail, grammar, and tone; ability to adapt language for different audiences and microcopy contexts.

  • Comfortable using basic content tools such as Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and simple CMS or localization platforms; training will be provided.

  • Basic understanding of UX principles and an interest in how content supports usability and product goals.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and accept feedback as part of ongoing learning.

  • Previous internship, volunteer, or freelance writing experience is a plus but not required; motivated beginners welcome.
