Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose

Design and customize acoustic and weatherproof enclosures for diesel generator sets, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. Work with cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective, durable, and efficient solutions tailored to customer needs.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop enclosure designs (acoustic & weatherproof) using CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo).
  • Ensure optimal airflow, cooling, and acoustic attenuation per ISO 8528 and other standards.
  • Perform thermal and acoustic calculations; use CFD/FEA tools where applicable.
  • Select materials for durability, corrosion resistance, and environmental conditions.
  • Support sales with technical proposals, feasibility checks, and customization.
  • Create BOMs, drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, fabrication teams, and customers during design and installation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (CPCB, CE, NFPA, EPA).

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2–5 years of experience in enclosure or industrial product design (power generation preferred).
  • Familiarity with acoustic and thermal engineering principles is a plus.

Skills & Competencies


  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo).
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, acoustic design, and ventilation systems.
  • Understanding of diesel generator components and cooling systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
