Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Applications (Core Role)

  • Provide clinical application support for Agfa Digital Radiography solutions, including:
    • Fixed DR rooms
    • Mobile DR systems
    • Retrofit and upgrade projects
  • Perform clinical acceptance, system optimization, and workflow configuration after installation.
  • Deliver on-site and remote clinical training for radiographers and clinical staff.
  • Support customers in image quality optimization, dose management, and exam standardization.
  • Act as a clinical escalation point during early system usage and optimization phases.

Product, Solutions & Pre-Sales Support

  • Maintain strong knowledge of Agfa DR portfolio, including detectors, generators, acquisition software, and workflow tools.
  • Support product demonstrations, clinical evaluations, and proof-of-concepts.
  • Participate in pre-sales activities, including:
    • Technical and clinical presentations
    • Tender support (including public tenders and GPOs)
    • Value-based clinical positioning
  • Translate clinical workflows into solution designs aligned with Agfa s value proposition (quality, dose, workflow, reliability).
  • Support distributors with product positioning and differentiation versus competitors.

Distributor & Regional Collaboration (MEA Focus)

  • Act as a clinical reference for Agfa distributors across MEA.
  • Support distributor teams during:
    • Customer meetings
    • System demos
    • Clinical objections and comparisons
  • Contribute to regional trainings, workshops, and user meetings.
  • Provide structured field feedback to regional and global teams on product performance, customer needs, and market trends.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong understanding of:
    • X-ray physics
    • Image quality parameters
    • Radiation dose optimization
  • Excellent training and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working in multicultural and multi-country environments.
  • Strong communication skills with radiographers, radiologists, biomedical engineers, and management.
  • Willingness to travel across the MEA region.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education & Certification (Mandatory)

  • Bachelor s degree in Radiography / Medical Imaging.
  • Certified / licensed radiographer (according to local regulations).

Experience

  • Hands-on clinical experience with Digital Radiography (DR).
  • Experience working in hospital or imaging center environments.
  • Prior experience as an Application Specialist, Clinical Specialist, or Product Specialist is a strong advantage.
  • Experience working with vendors or distributors is a plus.

Language Requirements (Mandatory)

  • Arabic fluent
  • French fluent
  • English fluent

(Ability to train, present, and communicate professionally in all three languages is essential for MEA coverage.)
