Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve backend application issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Provide second-line support for backend systems, including databases, APIs, and server-side components.
- Collaborate with developers to identify root causes of technical problems and implement solutions.
- Perform application deployments, upgrades, and patch management.
- Document technical issues, solutions, and maintain a knowledge base for recurring problems.
- Assist in performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning for backend systems.
- Support integration with internal and external systems and ensure data integrity.
- Participate in testing new backend features, updates, and releases.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Prior Work Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in backend application support, preferably in finance or banking sector.
- Strong knowledge of backend technologies, databases (SQL, Oracle, etc.), APIs, and server environments.
- Experience with troubleshooting backend applications, logs analysis, and performance monitoring tools.
- Basic scripting or programming skills (Python, Java, or similar) are a plus.
- Knowledge of financial systems or microfinance platforms is advantageous.
Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex backend issues.
- Proactive approach in identifying potential issues and implementing preventive measures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with IT, business units, and external vendors.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple incidents simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and system updates
