Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Plan, review, and approve lifting operations in compliance with project and HSE requirements

  2. Prepare detailed lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments for routine and critical lifts

  3. Supervise and execute critical lifting activities ensuring safety and operational efficiency

  4. Ensure all lifting equipment, cranes, and accessories are certified, inspected, and fit for use

  5. Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, and site teams for proper execution of lifting activities

  6. Ensure strict compliance with company standards, ADNOC requirements, and international lifting standards

  7. Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and pre-lift meetings

  8. Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to Safe Systems of Work (PTW, JSA, etc.)

  9. Identify hazards and implement appropriate control measures to mitigate risks

  10. Lead and manage lifting teams with a strong focus on HSE and safe work practices

  11. Stop any unsafe lifting activity and report incidents, near misses, or deviations

  12. Participate in incident investigations related to lifting operations

  13. Maintain proper documentation of lifting plans, inspections, and certifications

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Diploma (3 years) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification

  2. Minimum 5+ years of lifting experience in Oil & Gas (offshore/onshore)

  3. Proven experience as Appointed Person for lifting operations

  4. Certified Appointed Person (4-day course) from an ADNOC-approved training provider

  5. Successfully passed client/panel assessment (preferred)

  6. Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, cranes, rigging gear, and load calculations

  7. Familiar with international standards (e.g., LOLER, BS, ISO) and ADNOC lifting procedures

  8. Hands-on experience in preparing lifting plans and supervising critical lifts

  9. Strong understanding of HSE requirements and risk management

  10. Leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and coordinate site activities

  11. Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)

  12. Valid CICPA pass for Habshan (preferred)

  13. Immediate joiners preferred
