About Arabian Power Company

The Umm Al Nar Power and Desalination Project (“Project”) is a development located on Sas Al Nakhl, approximately 20km east of Abu Dhabi city just off the main island. This is the fourth IWPP in Abu Dhabi. A special purpose vehicle established by Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (“ADWEA”), ENGIE and JERA. To manage the project Arabian Power Company was established on 2003 to build, own, and operate the Umm Al Nar power generation and water desalination combined cycle plant.
