Architect – Engineering Hub GINCO Cont. Co. LLC

We are seeking a capable and experienced Architect to join the Engineering Hub of our civil contracting company in the UAE. The Engineering Hub serves as the central technical backbone of the organisation, supporting all active projects with design development, drawing production, technical coordination, and authority compliance. The Architect will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all architectural elements across civil and building construction projects are designed, documented, and coordinated to the highest standards in alignment with UAE authority requirements and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities Design Development & Drawing Production – Prepare and develop architectural drawings for civil and building projects including site layouts, floor plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, and construction details. – Produce shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built documentation in accordance with project specifications and IFC packages. – Develop design concepts and schematic layouts based on client briefs, town planning requirements, and UAE building regulations. – Prepare architectural presentation drawings, 3D visualisations, and design review packages for client and authority submissions. – Coordinate with the structural, MEP, and civil engineering disciplines within the Engineering Hub to produce fully integrated and clash-free construction documentation. Technical Coordination & Review – Review and validate architectural shop drawings and material submittals issued by subcontractors for compliance with the approved design and specifications. – Process and respond to architectural RFIs (Requests for Information) from site teams and coordinate resolution with the design team. – Coordinate architectural works with MEP, structural, and civil disciplines to resolve spatial conflicts and spatial coordination issues. – Support the BIM team in maintaining coordinated Revit architectural models and ensure models reflect current design status. – Prepare and maintain drawing registers, RFI logs, submittal trackers, and document control records. Authority Submissions & Compliance – Prepare and submit architectural drawing packages to UAE regulatory authorities including Dubai Municipality (DM), Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM), Abu Dhabi Department of Urban Planning (DPM), Trakhees, DDA, and other relevant bodies. – Manage authority review comments, prepare responses, and coordinate re-submissions to obtain NOCs, building permits, and completion certificates. – Ensure all architectural designs comply with the Dubai Building Code (DBC), Abu Dhabi Building Code (ADBC), UAE Fire Code, and applicable planning regulations. – Liaise with authority engineers and inspectors during site inspection visits. – Track and manage authority submission schedules and ensure timely approvals aligned with project programme. Site Support & Construction Phase – Provide architectural technical support to site teams throughout the construction phase, interpreting drawings and resolving design queries. – Conduct periodic site visits to review architectural works, inspect quality of construction, and ensure conformance with approved drawings. – Assist with architectural snagging and preparation of the punch list for project handover. – Coordinate with the procurement team on the technical evaluation of architectural materials, finishes, and specialist subcontractors. – Review and approve architectural mock-ups and material samples submitted by contractors. Engineering Hub Collaboration – Contribute to the Engineering Hub's design standards, drawing templates, and quality management procedures. – Support the development of standard details, specification libraries, and architectural material databases. – Assist the Engineering Hub Manager in resource planning, workload distribution, and design programme management. – Mentor junior draftsmen and graduate architects within the Engineering Hub team. – Participate in design review meetings, project kick-off sessions, and value engineering workshops.
