Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough on-site inspections, meticulously verifying construction work against architectural plans, specifications, and building codes to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Identify and document any deviations, deficiencies, or non-compliance issues, providing detailed reports with photographic evidence and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and project managers to resolve construction issues, offering technical expertise and guidance to ensure project success.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and material samples, ensuring they align with the approved design and project requirements.
  • Monitor construction progress, track project schedules, and proactively identify potential delays or cost overruns, providing timely alerts and recommendations.
  • Attend project meetings and site visits, actively participating in discussions and providing expert insights to facilitate effective communication and decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, communications, and project documentation, ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date project files.
  • Assess the quality of materials and workmanship, verifying adherence to specified standards and identifying any substandard work that requires remediation.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and best practices on-site, promoting a safe working environment and preventing potential hazards.
  • Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and status updates, providing stakeholders with clear and concise information.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in architectural principles and practices.
  • Accumulate a minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural inspection or construction management, providing a proven track record of success.
  • Demonstrate prior experience within the construction industry, with a focus on commercial or residential projects, showcasing the ability to understand industry specific codes.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction standards, ensuring compliance and quality assurance.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders and clear communication of findings.
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills, including proficiency in reading architectural plans, using inspection tools, and preparing detailed reports.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, allowing for the identification and resolution of construction issues.
  • Possess exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, ensuring thorough inspections and comprehensive documentation.
  • Be proficient in the English language, both written and spoken, and any other local language is a plus, facilitating effective communication.
