Job Title: Architectural Foreman - Oil and Gas

Overview:

An Architectural Foreman in the oil and gas industry oversees architectural construction and finishing tasks, ensuring that design elements such as building structures, interiors, and aesthetic details are implemented according to specifications. They are responsible for supervising work teams, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Coordination:

• Oversee and manage teams involved in architectural construction, including masons, carpenters, painters, and finishing crews.
• Assign tasks to workers and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.

Implementation of Design:

• Ensure that architectural plans, specifications, and drawings are followed during construction.
• Oversee the installation of features such as cladding, flooring, ceilings, partitions, and other finishes.

Quality Assurance:

• Inspect work to ensure adherence to quality standards, materials, and design requirements.
• Identify and resolve issues related to finishes, aesthetics, or materials promptly.

Safety Management:

• Enforce compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards specific to the oil and gas sector.
• Conduct regular safety briefings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments to mitigate hazards.

Resource Management:

• Coordinate and manage the availability of materials, tools, and equipment required for architectural work.
• Monitor the usage of resources to minimize waste and control costs.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate site records, including daily progress reports, material usage, and labor hours.
• Report progress, challenges, and changes to project managers or architects.

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Communicate with architects, engineers, and project managers to clarify design elements or resolve on-site issues.
• Coordinate with other foremen or teams to integrate architectural work with other construction activities.

Problem-Solving:

• Troubleshoot issues related to design discrepancies, material shortages, or unforeseen site conditions.
• Recommend and implement practical solutions to maintain project timelines.

Compliance:

• Ensure that architectural work complies with local regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Verify the use of approved materials and methods.

Training and Development:

• Guide and train team members to enhance their skills and maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Mentor junior staff or apprentices as needed.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or certification in architecture, construction management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong understanding of architectural construction methods, materials, and finishes.
• Knowledge of HSE requirements in high-risk industries like oil and gas.
