Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Artillery Equipment Maintenance Field Service Rep (FSR) provides on-site technical support and advice to assigned customers. Operates as the only Artillery FSR at your assigned location and is the sole source of artillery information.
Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract)
- Provides oversight of Artillery equipment maintenance at assigned work location.
- Perform Joint Initial and Finial Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on all artillery equipment.
- Perform Joint Inspections on Battle Damage Equipment / Systems and make recommendations to Peshmerga Leadership for repair or disposition of equipment.
- Provide CLS, CTS and OJT for artillery equipment listed in the SOW.
- Perform all Scheduled and Unscheduled Maintenance.
- Identify all equipment faults, corrective actions taken, repair parts installed or ordered, open and close work orders for equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and advice to the customer.
- Present a positive image of self and company s services.
- Work effectively with different customers and cultures.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
- Provide inspection support and perform repairs, sustainment maintenance, retrofits, and modifications to multiple platform vehicles.
- Conduct technical analysis of vehicle implementations, modifications, and enhancements.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues and determine technical solutions.
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Must have direct knowledge of inspection, maintenance, and repair of towed artillery.
- Knowledgeable of U.S. Military maintenance management processes, publications, and guidelines.
- Ability to use all types of engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, and technical specification sheets.
- Ability to use all types of power tools, diagnostic equipment, lifting devices, or support equipment, including chains.
- Must be able to function with minimal supervision.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US passport.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills
- Experience at the 10 and 20 level military vehicle maintenance (Humvee, MRAP, etc.)
Experience & Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Class A or B CDL preferred.
- Three (3) years experience working in artillery career field.
- Prior instructional experience delivering technical training in fault diagnostics and maintenance/repair.
- Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Must be willing and able to work in extreme temperatures.
- Capability to lift 55lbs without assistance.
- Must be able to meet medical and physical fitness requirements to enter and maintain deployment in accordance with customer requirements.
