Roles & Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

· Develop and optimize assembly processes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective manufacturing of automotive components.

· Troubleshoot and resolve assembly-related issues, including identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.

· Create and maintain detailed assembly documentation, such as work instructions, process flow diagrams, and quality control plans.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure seamless product assembly.

· Conduct time studies and analyze assembly line performance to identify areas for improvement and increase productivity.

· Design and implement tooling and fixtures to support assembly operations, ensuring ergonomic and safe working conditions.

· Participate in the launch of new vehicle models, providing technical expertise and support during the assembly ramp-up phase.

· Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications, performing inspections and audits to maintain product integrity.

· Stay up-to-date with the latest assembly technologies and techniques, recommending and implementing process improvements.

· Train and mentor assembly technicians and operators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving.


Desired Candidate Profile

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is required.

· Proven experience (5+ years) in automotive assembly engineering, with a focus on high-volume manufacturing.

· Strong understanding of automotive assembly processes, including joining techniques, robotics, and automation.

· Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) for designing tooling and fixtures.

· Experience with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma).

· Familiarity with quality control systems (e.g., ISO and statistical process control (SPC).

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

· Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and achieve manufacturing efficiency goals.
