Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. RBI Program Development:

- Develop and implement comprehensive RBI programs tailored to refinery operations, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.

- Identify critical assets and prioritize inspection activities based on risk assessment and criticality analysis.

2. Risk Assessment:

- Conduct detailed risk assessments for refinery equipment and systems, including pressure vessels, piping, storage tanks, and heat exchangers.

- Utilize advanced risk assessment tools and methodologies to evaluate the likelihood and consequences of potential failures.

3. Inspection Planning:

- Develop and optimize inspection plans based on RBI analysis, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and minimizing downtime.

- Recommend appropriate inspection techniques and intervals to detect potential issues before they lead to failures.

4. Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Analyze inspection data and trends to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.

- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and action plans to stakeholders.

5. Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure all RBI activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and codes (e.g., API, ASME, OSHA).

- Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.

6. Collaboration and Communication:

- Work closely with refinery operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to gather necessary data and insights for RBI analysis.

- Provide training and mentorship to refinery staff on RBI principles and practices.

7. Continuous Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the RBI process and implement best practices to enhance the effectiveness of the program.

- Stay current with advancements in RBI methodologies and technologies.

Desired Candidate Profile

Min 12+ Years of experience in running refineries with strong experience in Asset Integrity Management and their standards.


Experience with corrosion engineering and mitigation strategies.

- Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) for structural integrity assessments.

- Project management experience and certification (e.g., PMP).

- Proficiency in RBI software tools (e.g., Meridium, RBMI, PCMS).

- Strong understanding of refinery processes, equipment, and failure mechanisms.

- Knowledge of advanced inspection techniques and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful RBI programs in a refinery setting.
