Roles & Responsibilities
The Asset Management lead is responsible for the overall management of all company assets and drilling equipment. Assists in developing and implementing a comprehensive asset management program to maximize asset availability, reliability, and efficiency. The lead will optimize asset lifecycles, manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) budgets for assets, and implement effective asset tracking systems. Analyzes asset lifecycle data to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for enhanced asset performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assets Management and Projects Support:
Oversees the full lifecycle of company assets starting from acquisition, operational maintenance, and wright off, with a primary focus on drilling equipment.
Drives the lifecycle management of assets, overseeing all stages from initial procurement and installation to eventual decommissioning focusing on optimizing asset performance, controlling costs, and ensuring seamless operational execution.
Integrate asset management strategies with operational needs, ensuring alignment with capital budgeting and investment plans.
Partners with engineering and project teams to define asset specifications, plan modifications and upgrades, and collaboratively develop resource allocation strategies for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance projects.
Asset Tracking and Inventory Management:
Coordinates with countries to maintain a capital asset log for each operational unit/site and ensure its accuracy.
Ensures that asset counting, transfers, and write-offs are carried out correctly and efficiently across all units/sites.
Maintains accurate asset records within the ERP system, including creating and uploading information for new and replacement assets.
Collaborates with relevant departments globally to optimize inventory levels and achieve cost-effective performance for each unit.
Collaborates closely with the Maintenance team to analyze asset maintenance history and evaluate related costs, guiding strategic decisions on whether to maintain existing assets or invest in new ones.
(CAPEX) Budget Management:
Collaborates with relevant departments to prioritize CAPEX projects and ensure cost-effective allocation of resources.
Contributes to the annual capital budget cycle by gathering and analyzing data and preparing reports for various operational units.
POs Management:
Reviews and approves purchase orders for all asset-related acquisitions, ensuring requested items are related to the CAPEX criteria. ensuring they meet established Capex standards.
ERP Oracle Optimization:
Collaborates with the ERP Oracle team to tailor and enhance the system, ensuring seamless asset management tracking, comprehensive reporting, and effective cross-functional integration.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Utilizes software tools to efficiently collect, analyze, and report on comprehensive asset data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy within the asset management system.
Identifies trends, patterns, and anomalies within the asset data to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
Develops comprehensive reports that analyze asset performance and provide a financial overview of new asset investments, including total count and cost.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in petroleum engineering.
8 years of technical experience within the oil and gas or drilling industry.
