Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of best practice asset management strategies to deliver optimal life cycle management of switchgear assets. This includes the application of life assessment and risk mitigation strategies.

Description:

  • Regular site visit and inspection to switchgear assets to monitor and control asset condition.
  • Lead annual maintenance plan for maintenance management in operation and maintenance department
  • Assist with the development of best practice asset management standards for switchgear assets.
  • Reviews asset performance targets, monitors and reports performance against plans.
  • Contribute to the preparation of business and work plans to achieve technical deliverables
  • Meets external regulatory obligations for switchgear assets.
  • Assists with the application of risk-based condition assessment processes for switchgear assets.
  • Meets external regulatory obligations for switchgear assets.
  • Engage in key decision-making processes regarding problem solving and optimal technical solutions on switchgear assets.
  • Undertakes prudent and efficient justification of projects including asset replacement/refurbishment, compliance and reliability projects (CAPEX) and maintenance (OPEX) for switchgear assets.
  • Contributes to the preparation of asset management plans for switchgear assets strategies
  • Assists with the identification and justification of new technology on switchgear assets.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement and innovation in the management of switchgear assets.
  • Provides Technical advice and make repair/replace decisions on failed plant for switchgear assets.
  • Supports engagement process with customers and stakeholders
  • Adhere to the Company s health, safety, environmental and security policies always and immediately report violations of these policies to OETC health, safety & environment representatives;
  • Defining asset condition and link to asset performance
  • Put risk strategies in place to improve performance
  • Understand the technical requirements for the replacement of assets
  • Develop asset health indices (AHIs) for determining the technical requirements for intervention activities
  • Develop a strategy and analyze of all asset class related to their risk and performance
  • System performance management
  • Operate an integrated decision-making approach
  • Develop integrated Investment plans
  • Monitor, plan delivery in terms of cost, time and output
  • Develop system risk records and manage outage and manage system risks
  • Pre failure analysis by carrying out regular on-site inspections
  • Knowledge and Understanding of the Asset Management, HSE Management System and IT Security Standard Requirements according to ISO55001, ISO 14001, ISO45001 and ISO 27001 to carry out the assigned duties as per the roles and responsibilities matrix.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years business experience in the utility of Transmission business
  • Preferred working experience in Transmission switchgear Field.
