Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Assets Controller to manage and oversee all company assets, including equipment, machinery, and vehicles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking asset movements, managing CAPEX purchases, ensuring compliance with financial regulations (e.g., TDS), and maintaining accurate records to optimize asset utilization across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Asset Tracking & Management:
    Maintain a comprehensive register of all company assets (e.g., machinery, vehicles, equipment).
    Track asset movements across projects and locations, ensuring timely updates to records.
  • CAPEX Management:
    Oversee capital expenditure (CAPEX) purchases, including budgeting, procurement, and depreciation tracking.
    Coordinate with procurement and finance teams to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Financial Compliance:
    Handle TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) and other statutory requirements related to asset management.
    Ensure accurate accounting of asset-related transactions (e.g., purchases, disposals, transfers).
  • Reporting & Documentation:
    Generate regular reports on asset status, utilization, maintenance, and costs.
    Prepare documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintenance Coordination:
    Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance to maximize asset lifespan and efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Liaise with project managers, procurement, finance, and external vendors to ensure seamless asset management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in asset management, inventory control, or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of CAPEX management, TDS, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in asset management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in construction, marine, or engineering industries.
  • Certification in asset management (e.g., Certified Asset Manager).
