Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Assistance Officer is responsible for managing and delivering all types of support and aid (medical, social, and humanitarian) to beneficiaries. This is to ensure that aid reaches eligible recipients in accordance with the association's established standards and policies, while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and empathy."

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Case Management

Receive new assistance requests and conduct the initial needs assessment (medical and social).

Classify cases and prioritize them according to the severity of need and approved eligibility criteria.

Assistance Delivery

Coordinate and implement the process of providing approved aid to cases, and follow up on its correct and timely delivery.

Act as a liaison between beneficiaries and internal departments or relevant external parties.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain and update case files and records accurately and in detail, including data on aid provided.

Prepare periodic reports on workflow progress, the number of beneficiaries, and the type of assistance given.

Communication and Professionalism

Communicate effectively and professionally with humanitarian cases, demonstrating empathy while maintaining confidentiality.

Utilize time management skills to organize tasks and achieve objectives efficiently.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Experience: A minimum of three year of prior experience in social or charitable work (specifically managing medical and social cases).

Education: Relevant Bachelor's degree or higher (preferably graduates of the Faculty of Social Service/Work).

Location: Preference for residents of Giza (The association's headquarters is in Mohandessin).

Age: Up to 40 years old.

Skills: Ability to deal with humanitarian cases professionally and empathetically.

Soft Skills: Good communication and time management skills.

Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using basic computer programs (Word Excel).
