Roles & Responsibilities

HBKU seeks applications for faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. Scholars with an outstanding record in biopsychology or neuroscience are encouraged to apply.

Job Role Description

  • Teach and supervise graduate students.
  • Participate and lead in administrative duties that influence the College s output and direction strategies.
  • Contribute to the success of the University through university committees and involvement in community professional activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

Ph.D. in fields related to biopsychology or neuroscience. Candidates with an MD in Psychiatry, or who have research experience in machine learning applications in neurological and psychiatric disorders, are encouraged to apply.

Relevant full-time university teaching experience in research, higher education, or closely related areas in industry (additional experience may be required to show equivalency), with evidence of increasing professional maturity and productivity.

Extensive track record of research with significant contribution to the discipline through professional service.

For senior-level positions:

  • Evidence or potential for extramural funding.
  • Evidence of experience in successful contribution to the development of young investigators.
  • Evidence of experience in graduate education, formal classroom teaching and program development.
  • Good knowledge of academic policies, procedures, and ethical issues.
