Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanical engineering and thermo-fluid sciences

  • Develop a strong, externally funded research program in thermo-fluid sciences
  • Collaborate with industry and government stakeholders to advance Qatar s national goals
  • Contribute to curriculum development at the undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate students
  • Mentor postdoctoral researchers
  • Provide services to the Division, College, the University, and the Profession by serving on committees and contributing to key initiatives
  • Contribute to the broader research and innovation ecosystem at HBKU

Desired Candidate Profile

A Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in higher education, research institutions or industry (more years of experience are required for candidates who may be considered at the Associate Professor rank)
  • Demonstrated scholarly record, with a relevant Ph.D. dissertation and publications in reputable, high-impact journals.
  • Evidence of strong commitment to teaching excellence and curriculum development
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional and institutional services
  • Ability to work with and exposure to diverse groups, cultures, and communities
