Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description
Carry out a range of duties related to Compliance Audit function and participate in performing independent reviews across the Bank in order to identify and mitigate risks. Test internal controls and agree with auditors required action plan. Ensure successful completion of annual audit plan.
Key Accountabilities:
Participate in Audit Engagements:
• Contributes to the implementation of the annual Audit plan by conducting audit engagements successfully from beginning to end (planning, executing, directing and completing audit engagements through report writing).
• Successful Execution/implementation of the approved annual audit plan.
Acquire Business knowledge:
• Acquire working knowledge of departments, products and services in order to organize the audit assignment appropriately and add value to the business by raising factually right audit observations.
• Maintains knowledge of key current and emerging risks within the Bank and the industry broadly to support an effective internal audit plan to address key company risk areas (e.g. financial reporting risks, internal control risks, commercial operational risks, etc.).
Testing, walkthrough, audit observations and report writing:
Ensures audit conclusions are based on appropriate testing of the controls and complete understanding of the processes, circumstances, and risks. Obtains and reviews evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well documented.
Follow up of implementation of audit recommendations including IAG, Regulatory and consultants reports.:
Review periodically all actions have been taken by auditees to close audit observations. Prepare statistics and MIS reports.
Follow-up/tracking reported issues and carryout validation of action taken on due dates and ensure timely and proper implementation of controls to mitigate risks identified.
Risk Based Auditing and compliance with Quality function s guidelines.:
Focus on Risk based auditing, and implement Quality team s proposals.
Complete documentation of each audit assignment in the Internal Audit System
Other Departmental tasks:
Perform other tasks related to audit duties as necessary.
Maintains knowledge of key current and emerging risks within the Bank and the industry broadly to support an effective internal audit plan to address key company risk areas (e.g. financial reporting risks, internal control risks, commercial operational risks, etc.).
Ensure that all audit reports communicated, accepted and signed off by process owners.
Provide added value issues to the business and contribute to the on-going improvement of the bank s internal control environment.
Ensuring continues Enhancement of IA respective department.
Reporting:
Participate in preparing periodic departmental reports to capture the progress, performance and quality in order to verify all the processes that has been implemented.
Policies, Processes & Procedures:
Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Anti-fraud prevention:
Adherence to all regulations and control functions within the bank in order to ensure that governance, Audit, risk and compliance, fraud detecting and combating matters are carried out.
Evaluate and review to implement all the adequacy of Counter fraud such as policies, procedures, processes and controls implemented
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Business Admin / Accounting / Finance /Economics / IT or related field.
CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner).
Minimum Experience:
0 - 5 years of experience in internal or external audit experience at a bank or a recognized organization / audit firm
Job-Specific Skills:
Excellent Audit Skills
Advanced Understanding of Audit Related standards and best practices (e.g. IIA, ISACA, SOCPA, etc.)
Excellent Level of knowledge, expertise in banking sector
Advanced level of Understanding of concept of risk management and internal control
Have a Professional certification (CIA, CISA, CFE, CPA, etc.)
