Job Summary : The Assistant Communication Inspector supports the inspection and monitoring of telecommunications works related to OSP (Outside Plant) and PDS (Premise Distribution System) installations. The role assists in ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, international telecommunications standards, and quality requirements for oil & gas and large-scale building projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist in inspection of OSP and PDS telecommunications installations

  • Support senior inspectors in ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications

  • Verify installations against BICSI-TDMM, NEC, NESC, or equivalent standards

  • Participate in site inspections, surveillance activities, and quality checks

  • Assist in identifying non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions

  • Support preparation of inspection reports and technical documentation

  • Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and supervisors during inspections


Mandatory Requirements

  • Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma in the relevant discipline

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in telecommunications installations or inspection support roles

  • Exposure to OSP and PDS installations

  • Experience in oil & gas projects and/or large building construction projects is preferred

  • Basic awareness of quality management systems and inspection procedures

  • BICSI certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain relevant certification
