Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Principle Duties:

  • Perform clinical duties and consultations related to occupational health, including disease screening, prevention and management.
  • Conduct clinical assessments for pre-employment screenings, interpret results, and document findings in the electronic medical records system in compliance with Infection Prevention and Control policies.
  • Provide periodic examinations and management for staff at risk of exposure to workplace hazards according to the Infection Prevention and Control program.
  • Assess staff exposed to biological hazards, such as sharp injuries, and administer treatment/prophylaxis as per Infection Prevention and Control guidelines.
  • Ensure completion and documentation of all vaccinations received by new and current employees.
  • Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating occupational health programs at Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs.
  • Participate in developing criteria and conducting on-site risk assessments and walk-through evaluations of workplace hazards in collaboration with involved departments/staff.

Administrative and planning:

  • Participate in developing and reviewing policies and procedures related to occupational health and infection prevention and control.
  • Participate in committees related to occupational health and workplace safety.
  • Participate in preparation and review of quarterly and annual reports related to occupational health within the assigned region or area.

Educational Programs:

  • Maintain current knowledge of international guidelines and national regulations and ensure that the facility leaders are informed of appropriate interventions.
  • Participate in designing and implementing educational and awareness programs for MNGHA staff, students, and the military/National Guard population.
  • Develop educational materials, newsletters, and documents to enhance awareness of occupational health and related workplace safety issues.

Outbreak control activities:

  • Participate in related outbreak investigations and prepare clinical reports.
  • Assist and supervise occupational health nurses to ensure proper interventions as directed by the Director of Infection Prevention and Control.

Conduct proactive immunization programs:

  • Develop systematic plans to identify and immunize susceptible, at-risk staff members against diseases such as Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, MMR, Tdap, and Meningitis.
  • Assist in military-specific and other vaccination campaigns and interpret serological results as required.
  • Provide vaccines for travelers and high-risk patients.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports and correspondence related to work.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment in applying person center care principles and exhibit excellent communication skills, fostering positive relationships with patients and their families.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Medicine (MBBS) from an accredited institution -Essential
  • Completion of an MNGHA-approved residency training or equivalent in Occupational Medicine, Preventive Medicine, or related discipline -Essential
  • Fellowship Training Program in Occupational Health approved by the Saudi Council for Health Specialties -Preferred

Work Experience: Two to three years' experience in a similar or related position -Preferred

English Language Skills: Level 1- -Essential

Arabic Language Skills: -Essential

Computer Skills (Level): Expert Level II - Preferred
