Job Description
Assistant Director of Finance Accor Dubai UAEbr> br>Position Overviewbr>Accor is hiring an Assistant Director of Finance in Dubai to support the Director of Finance in managing payroll, accounting operations, financial reporting, and budgeting. This role requires leadership in supervising accounting teams, ensuring accuracy in financial data, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
Core Duties
- Supervise and guide accounting staff and payroll functions to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, schedules, and annual budgets
- Ensure timely posting and accuracy of charges and credits across accounts
- Reconcile balance sheet items with subsidiary ledgers and clear contra accounts monthly
- Review and monitor accounting processes to ensure compliance with standards and hotel policies
- Establish internal controls for accurate and timely reporting
- Research and adapt accounting practices in line with new laws or government regulations
- Approve journal vouchers from accounts payable, receivable, payroll, cashier, and cost control teams
- Produce financial analysis and reports to support management decision-making
- Coordinate cross-departmental financial processes to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Represent the Finance Department in dealings with employees, auditors, and external stakeholders
- Promote cost-effective resource use and educate staff on financial efficiency
- Lead, motivate, and develop accounting teams to achieve departmental objectives
Desired Candidate Profile
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or ICW (intermediate level or above) preferred
- Minimum 6 years of finance or accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong business acumen and ability to align financial processes with organizational goals
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and financial systems
- Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
- Proven track record of supervising teams and delivering accurate, timely financial databr>
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and organizational ability
