Assistant Manager - HR (Generalist) – Arabic Speaker
Location Abu Dhabi, UAE
Reporting To HR Manager / Group HR Director
Employment Type Full-Time
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant HR Manager – Generalist (Arabic Speaker) to support and manage end-to-end HR operations across multiple business units within a Group/Holding Company structure. The ideal candidate must have strong experience handling HR functions in diversified organizations, ensuring compliance, employee engagement, talent acquisition support, performance management, policy implementation, and HR operations.
The role requires someone with excellent interpersonal skills, strong knowledge of UAE Labour Law, and the ability to work closely with senior management across different entities.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
Manage day-to-day HR operations across multiple group companies/entities
Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law and internal HR policies
Handle employee lifecycle management including onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exit formalities
Maintain accurate employee records, HR databases, and documentation
Support payroll inputs, leave management, attendance monitoring, and employee benefits administration
Coordinate visa, labour card, Emirates ID, and employee documentation processes in coordination with PRO/Admin teams
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Support manpower planning and recruitment activities across business units
Coordinate sourcing, screening, interviews, and offer management
Work closely with department heads to fulfill hiring requirements efficiently
Ensure proper onboarding and induction for new employees
Employee Relations
Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, warning letters, and HR investigations
Promote employee engagement initiatives and workplace culture improvements
Support employee welfare programs and retention strategies
Performance Management
Assist in implementing performance appraisal systems across the group
Monitor probation reviews, annual appraisals, and development plans
Support succession planning and talent development initiatives
Policies, Compliance & Reporting
Develop, update, and implement HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks
Ensure HR practices align with group governance standards
Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and management presentations
Support internal audits and compliance reviews
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
HR certifications such as CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent will be an advantage
Experience
Minimum 6–8 years of HR Generalist experience
Minimum 2–3 years in an Assistant HR Manager / Senior HR Generalist role
Mandatory experience working within Group Companies / Holding Companies / Multi-Entity Organizations
Strong exposure to UAE labor law and HR best practices
Experience across industries is preferred (Corporate, Services, Facilities Management, Contracting, Trading, etc.)
Language
Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written) – Mandatory
Skills
Strong understanding of HR operations and employee relations
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
Strong reporting, analytical, and organizational skills
Experience using HRMS systems and Microsoft Office tools
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-business environment
Preferred Candidate Profile
Arabic Speaker
Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice period preferred
Experience handling HR across multiple subsidiaries/entities is highly desirable
Strong business partnering approach with leadership exposure
