Roles & Responsibilities
About Wynn Al Marjan Island:
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking an Assistant Manager AV Events to join the resort s AV and Entertainment Technical Services team.
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Lead a team of AV technicians, assign tasks and ensuring timely execution of setups, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between departments for event execution and show support.
- Mentor junior technicians and support their development through training and guidance.
- Technical Operations
- Oversee daily operations of AV systems including sound, lighting, projection, and control networks (DMX, DALI, Art-Net/sACN).
- Ensure optimal performance of AV control systems such as QLab, Crestron, and Navigator CSC.
- Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of AV equipment including LED walls, projectors, speakers, and control gear.
- Maintain and update service logs, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Project Support & Innovation
- Assist in technical design reviews and installations for new entertainment projects.
- Collaborate with creative teams to assess feasibility and execute mock-ups for new show concepts.
- Support synchronization of multimedia elements in immersive venues like the performance lake.
- Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety protocols for rigging, flying systems, and aerial show equipment.
- Ensure all AV setups comply with electrical safety standards and operational procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Audio Engineering, Technical Theatre, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in AV technical services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in luxury resorts or entertainment venues is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of AV networking and control systems (e.g., QLab, Crestron, GRMS).
- Proficiency in lighting, laser, holography, and control programming tools (ETC, C++, PLC).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English; strong interpersonal and coordination abilities.
- Proactive and organized with a hands-on approach.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
