The Assistant Manager Catering Sales plays a crucial role in driving the success of a catering service by overseeing its sales operations and customer relations. This position demands a dynamic individual who can manage and enhance client accounts, lead a team effectively, and ensure top-notch service delivery. As an Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Catering Sales Manager to develop strategies that increase sales and customer satisfaction. You will act as a liaison between the catering operations and clients, ensuring that events exceed client expectations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, have a flair for service excellence, and be adept at problem-solving. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Manage client accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the catering operations team to align sales and service execution.
- Assist in preparing sales reports and analysis for management review.
- Organize and participate in promotional events to boost sales opportunities.
- Train, mentor, and guide junior sales staff to improve their performance.
- Address client inquiries and resolve issues to maintain positive relationships.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the catering industry.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance the brand s market presence.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure profitable outcomes.
- Monitor market trends to make informed business decisions and adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and cater to client-specific requests.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in sales, preferably within the catering industry.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and goals.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other sales management tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
