Roles & Responsibilities
Assistant Tax Manager is responsible to assist in all internal projects from a Tax Governance and control perspective. required to possess in-depth knowledge and working experience relating to Corporate Tax Laws in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and a basic knowledge relating to Corporate Tax for other Middle East countries.
• Provide support / advise the business lines on different transactions from a Corporate Tax perspective
• Assist in identifying the risk / exposure during the review of business transactions
• Review the Corporate Tax and Withholding tax filings across the Middle East before submission with the Tax Authorities
• Undertake regular review of transactions to ensure compliance and readiness for potential Audits in the future
• Possess adequate accounting experience and assist the business lines in accounting transactions when needed
• Assist in identifying impact of withholding taxes during cross-border transactions and the documentation to be maintained from compliance stand-point
• Monitor the tax developments / changes and advise the finance teams regarding it s impact
• Provide advise to business finance teams relating to tax accounting and deferred taxes
• Assist in preparing / reviewing information during an Audit / assessment from the Tax Authorities
• Maintain compliance tracker and monitor on a regular basis
• Liaise and collaborate with internal stakeholders to address tax-related issues.
• Assist in the process of reviewing tax provisions and tax estimates for budgeting and forecasting.
• Provide support during the review of tax restructuring projects and address any tax impacts.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement tax compliance procedures and controls.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor s or master s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other equivalent degree
• 5+ years experience in the Tax, 3+ years should relate to working on Corporate Tax Laws in an in-house Tax function in KSA / Middle east.
• Should have experience in VAT Laws in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and GCC countries
• Highly motivated with a desire to work hard and exceed objectives/expectations
• Keen attention to detail and is adaptable, flexible and able to work under pressure
• Ability to develop, coach and motivate junior members of the team
• Good with preparing and presenting dashboards and presentations
• Experience working in a Big 4 firm (advantageous but not necessary)
• Excellent communication and ability to interact with multiple senior stakeholders
• English language fluency required, Arabic language is preferred
