Roles & Responsibilities

The Department of Accounting & MIS in the College of Business Administration at GUST invites applications for a full-time faculty position in MIS to start in Fall 2026.

The applicant must have completed a PhD in MIS or any related field from a reputable North American (U.S. or Canada) or European university with at least three years of teaching experience after the doctoral degree. Successful candidates are expected to publish high-quality research in leading peer-reviewed journals.

The Department of Accounting and MIS offers Accounting and MIS degrees. The Accounting and MIS department prides itself on an active and collegial academic environment with a strong commitment to experiential learning. The department and university are accredited both nationally and internationally.

Desired Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in MIS or any related field with an active research record and have teaching experience in at least two of the following subjects: Data Analytics, Big Data, and Business Intelligence; Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity. The State of Kuwait does not recognize degrees from online universities.

The ideal candidate who should possess excellent communication skills in English must be ambitious, self-motivated, hard-working, with the ability to work both individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team where scientific creativity is essential.
