Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Department of Chemistry invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Inorganic Chemistry. We seek a colleague dedicated to teaching in a liberal arts and sciences environment, who will actively contribute to student advising, curriculum development, and departmental service. The successful candidate will be expected to integrate innovative teaching methods andbr> br>participate fully in the academic life of the university.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching: Teach introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses in chemistry, as well as courses in the MSc program.
- Research & Supervision: Supervise graduate (MSc) and undergraduate student research theses. Maintain an active research profile in inorganic chemistry.
- Academic Service: Participate in service at the Department, School, and University levels. This includes committee work, curriculum development, and student advising.
- Community and Outreach: Engage in student organization advising and community outreach activities.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry with a primary research focus in Inorganic Chemistry.
- A proven record of high-quality teaching.
- A strong research and publication record in international, peer-reviewed journals, with evidence of primary authorship.
- Significant international exposure in teaching and research.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Mastery of the English language.
Additional Information:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry is considered a strong asset.
