Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in the assigned department or program.

Develop and update course syllabi, lesson plans, and other instructional materials.

Evaluate student progress through assessments, exams, and evaluations.

Advise students on academic and career goals.

Participate in departmental meetings and committees.

Engage in scholarly research and publications in the field.

Participate in grant writing and other funding opportunities.

Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities.

Attend professional development opportunities to stay updated in the field.

Maintain accurate student and course records.

Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to develop new programs and initiatives.

Support and contribute to the mission and goals of the university.

Participate in accreditation and assessment activities.

Participate in recruitment and retention efforts for the college or program.

Serve as a mentor to junior faculty members.

Collaborate with community partners to provide educational opportunities for students.

Provide service to the department, college, university, and profession.

Participate in continuous improvement and assessment activities.

Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair or Dean.

Desired Candidate Profile

PhD in the field of specialization from a recognized university.

The master s and the bachelor s degrees must be from the same specialization.

A record of excellence in teaching, research, and service.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Capacity to establish and preserve a good rapport with students, coworkers, and community partners.

Excellent planning and scheduling abilities.

The capacity to function both alone and together.

Strong computer skills and proficiency with technology tools.

Experience with curriculum development and assessment.

Ability to stay updated in the field through ongoing professional development.

Knowledge of accreditation standards and requirements.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities.

Experience with grant writing and other funding opportunities.

Strong presentation and public speaking skills.

Capacity to meet deadlines and reconcile conflicting priorities.

Ability to lead and mentor junior faculty members.
