Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
You will:
- Teach: Inspire and mentor undergraduate students in each of the majors being offered (and to be offered) in English language coursework, incorporating the latest advancements and real-world applications. Courses to be taught include one or more of the following:
- Primary Undergraduate Course to be taught: Seminar in Academic Inquiry and Writing.
- Other Undergraduate Courses that may be taught include: Writing for Business and Industry andNarrative Structure in Games.
- Academic Assessment: Collect learning assessment data as needed.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of innovative curricula.
- Mentorship: Guide and advise students, fostering their professional development and preparing them for successful careers.
- Service: Engage in service activities that contribute to the department, college, and university.
- Student Engagement: Support and engage in student focused activities to enhance the vibrant student population at the NHU-Riyadh campus.
Desired Candidate Profile
Ph.D. in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or related field; graduate-level coursework in the teaching of writing OR college-level experience teaching composition.
- Master s degree in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or related field, with significant college- level teaching experience will also be considered
- Teaching Excellence: Demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching, with a passion for student learning and mentorship.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to effectively engage with students. Bilingual language skills are a plus.
