Roles & Responsibilities

Parsons is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing infrastructure and engineering projects. You will play a key role in ensuring that project objectives are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assisting the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitoring project progress and preparing regular status reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Assisting in the preparation of project documentation, including reports, presentations, and meeting minutes.
  • Identifying and addressing project risks, issues, and challenges in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Reviewing and tracking project deliverables to ensure they meet client requirements and expectations.
  • Supporting the management of contracts, procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Conducting site visits to monitor progress, assess risks, and ensure adherence to project plans.
  • Performing other duties as assigned to support the successful execution of projects.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 14 years of experience in project management or a related role, preferably in infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, tools, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to address project challenges and risks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • MME certified.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience in infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, utilities, and other civil works.
  • Familiarity with local regulations, standards, and permitting processes.
  • Knowledge of contract management and procurement processes.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the Middle East or GCC region is a plus.
