Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and inspect the on-site construction of infrastructure and landscape elements, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, and local regulations to guarantee quality and adherence to design.

  • Review contractor's method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals, providing technical input and ensuring they align with project requirements and industry best practices for a smooth construction process.

  • Monitor and manage the progress of works, identifying potential delays or issues, and proactively proposing solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.

  • Manage tasks as assigned willingly, effectively and efficiently

  • Assist in the administration of the Construction Contracts, correspondence

  • Attend Value Engineering and other contractor workshops, site visits

  • Provide input for the monthly and other reports

  • Anticipate problems before they arise and develop mitigation plans.

  • Regular daily site walks in order to anticipate site related and co-ordination

    problems.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director / Resident Engineers

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, providing a solid foundation in infrastructure and landscape design principles.

  • Holds a minimum of 8 or 10 years of experience in the construction of infrastructure and landscape projects, demonstrating practical knowledge of construction methodologies and site management.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite, enhancing efficiency in design review and project documentation.

  • Exhibits a strong understanding of local building codes, regulations, and standards, ensuring projects comply with all relevant requirements and guidelines.
