Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:   

  • Monitor and address any risks that could compromise the achievement of assigned objectives, implement appropriate actions to address risks and opportunities impacting compliance with requirements, and evaluate the effectiveness of actions taken.
  • To ensure, in conjunction with other departments within the company, the drafting and formalization of contracts in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Implement the measures and procedures designed to ensure the application of the regulations.
  • To monitor and resolve disputes arising in particular from social, civil, commercial or criminal matters, before the judicial authorities.
  • To collect, study, analyze and disseminate legislative and regulatory texts
  • To develop and propose, in collaboration with the relevant departments of the company, draft regulatory texts to be submitted for approval by the supervisory authority
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of the execution of all acts, conventions and agreements with foreign partners, national and international organizations and financial institutions
  • Ensure, while respecting the obligation of confidentiality, compliance with applicable laws and regulations:
    • All administrative actions with external institutions and organizations carried out by the structures (or managing directors) within the framework of the execution of the prerogatives assigned to them.
    • All commitment documents prepared by any structure within the company or requiring their approval (or by managers), and in particular the specifications
    • Any legal action aimed at protecting the property and persons of the establishment
  • Take charge of all the steps involved in updating the company's asset situation (land registry, property, notary, tax administration).
  • To provide assistance and advice to the company's central structures, at their request, in any decision-making process in the legal field or with a legal aspect.
  • To support the company's various structures in actions with legal implications, with the objective of ensuring compliance by itself and other structures with legislation and regulations, adapting them to the company's needs and interests.
  • To verify, prior to their signature, the contracts and agreements put in place by the company's central structures and to formulate any reservations and/or recommendations, in accordance with the rules and procedures in force
  • Ensure the safekeeping of all contracts, agreements, memoranda of understanding and other legal and statutory documents of the company
  • To create and maintain a documentary collection of legislative and regulatory texts necessary for the life and activity of the company
  • Continuously study and analyze legislation, regulation, jurisprudence, theory and legal commentaries
  • Representing the company before judicial and administrative bodies as well as before various legal professionals (courts, experts, notaries, bailiffs, etc.)
  • To ensure, in coordination with the selected law firms, the defense of the company's interests in all social, commercial, civil, criminal, etc. litigation, particularly before the courts and in disputes with third parties
  • To monitor the execution of court decisions rendered in favor of the company.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Assist the General Manager in defining the company's legal policy and ensure its implementation; prevent, handle and resolve disputes that arise.
