Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Assistant Mechanic will provide hands-on support to mechanics in maintaining and repairing plant workshop equipment. This role is a learning and support position, requiring technical aptitude, willingness to assist in mechanical tasks, and adherence to safety practices
Repairs & Maintenance:
- Assist mechanics with routine maintenance and repair of plant equipment (RS, ECH, ITV, and other MEWS).
- Provide basic mechanical support such as cleaning, dismantling, and reassembling parts.
- Prepare tools, spare parts, and equipment required for maintenance activities.
Preventive Maintenance:
- Help conduct inspections of equipment to identify early signs of wear or malfunction.
- Support PM, CM & refueling team during maintenance.
Workshop Operations:
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and organize tools and spare parts.
Safety Compliance:
- Always follow DPWorld workshop safety protocols.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly during all tasks.
Report unsafe conditions or incidents promptly
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or vocational training in mechanical trades.
- 1 3 years of experience in a workshop or mechanical support role.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills.
- Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions.
Strong teamwork and safety awareness.
