Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Principle Duties:
- He is governed by the responsibilities outlined in the Medical Staff Bylaws.
- Provide and promote a high standard quality of neurosurgical care.
- Operate in the OR within his approved privileges.
- Expected to be present in the working vicinity during normal working hours.
- To be available for contact at any time while in town.
- Works under the supervision of a consultant and the Section Head, Division of Neurosurgery,
- Allowed certain aspects of primary care responsibilities within his approved privileges. These are defined and supervised by the immediate consultant and approved by the Section Head, Division of Neurosurgery.
- Carries assigned specific duties within the Division of Neurosurgery with restricted responsibilities as requested by his immediate senior and approved by the Section Head, Division of Neurosurgery.
- Has no admission privilege.
- Participate in training and education of junior staff.
- Attend and participate in all neurosurgery division academic activities and research.
- Attend and participate in all division meetings.
- Attend and participate in the Department of Surgery staff meetings.
- Actively involved and participate in the ongoing quality management program.
- Meet the CME requirements of Saudi specialization.
- Ensure approval of proper TRA by the Chairman before going on leave.
- Maintains the spirit of the teamwork in the Division of Neurosurgery.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education:
Graduate from a medical school recognized by NGHA. Successful completion of a structured, accredited residency training program acceptable to NGHA. Certification by the appropriate specialty board approved by the Saudi Council for Health Specialties and acceptable to NGHA.
Experience:
Training and post-training is less than seven (7) years. The candidate should have a minimum of two (2) years experience in a tertiary care center in Neurosurgery after certification.

Arabic Language Skills: Preferred
