ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT NEUROSURGERY

Principle Duties:

• He is governed by the responsibilities outlined in the Medical Staff Bylaws.
• Provide and promote a high standard quality of neurosurgical care.
• Operate in the OR within his approved privileges.
• Expected to be present in the working vicinity during normal working hours.
• To be available for contact at any time while in town.
• Works under the supervision of a consultant and the Section Head, Division of Neurosurgery,
• Allowed certain aspects of primary care responsibilities within his approved privileges. These are defined and supervised by the immediate consultant and approved by the Section Head, Division of Neurosurgery.
• Carries assigned specific duties within the Division of Neurosurgery with restricted responsibilities as requested by his immediate senior and approved by the Section Head, Division of Neurosurgery.
• Has no admission privilege.
• Participate in training and education of junior staff.
• Attend and participate in all neurosurgery division academic activities and research.
• Attend and participate in all division meetings.
• Attend and participate in the Department of Surgery staff meetings.
• Actively involved and participate in the ongoing quality management program.
• Meet the CME requirements of Saudi specialization.
• Ensure approval of proper TRA by the Chairman before going on leave.
• Maintains the spirit of the teamwork in the Division of Neurosurgery.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
