Responsibilities

• Develops and communicates the vision, values, and direction of the business to achieve sustainability, growth, efficiency and profit.
• Is responsible for managing the development, design and coordination of engineering project services for MEP installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc.
• Ensures projects are successfully delivered, adhering to B&W standard / quality and timelines whilst managing resources efficiently.
• Applies a high level of initiative and judgement to prioritise tasks, workload of projects and acts with professionalism, courtesy, and tact with clients and colleagues, and promotes the culture of the company.
• Maintains an ongoing commitment to the philosophy of the business and its implementation and also provides leadership in the following areas:
  
  • Technical expertise (learning and growing)
  • Team leadership (lead by example, knowledge sharing, mentoring and guidance)
  • Team management (organising project teams, task breakdown and assignments)
  • Team recruitment (build your team)

Role Requirements (Professional & Technical Expertise)

The Associate Director position suits an experienced and qualified engineering design professional. He / she will possess the technical knowledge, design experience, people management and project delivery background necessary to lead design teams in the successful delivery of highly technical building projects.

He / she will have a keen interest in new developments and technical advancements within the MEP engineering design field. Having specific Data Centre design experience will be an advantage as will :

• • BSc / B.Tech / BEng in Electrical or have sufficient equivalent experience
  • Chartered Engineer status
  • Technical expertise in their discipline
  • Working understanding of other MEP disciplines
  • Significant experience of design and specification for Electrical systems for range of applications
  • Experience of having managed the design process of international projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of design stage deliverables and BSRIA BG6/2018.
  • Sound knowledge and working application of key health and safety issues and legislation
  • Time management
  • Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written
  • High level of technical understanding with the ability to communicate this knowledge clearly verbally and in writing
  • Efficient working practices ability to prioritise own workload
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Proficiency at using proprietary calculation software
  • Extensive knowledge of international codes and standards
