Position Overview
First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is seeking an Associate Director to support the Sovereign Wealth Funds & Financial Sponsors team. The role focuses on business development, client relationship management, and execution of complex Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) transactions. The successful candidate will contribute to origination, financial analysis, deal structuring, and portfolio management while mentoring junior team members and ensuring strong credit quality.

What You ll Do

* Originate and support execution of new business opportunities with sovereign wealth funds and financial sponsors
* Conduct financial and industry analysis to identify client needs, risks, and opportunities
* Assist in preparing term sheets, information memoranda, financial models, and mandate letters
* Partner with product teams to deliver structured finance, capital markets, M&A, fund financing, and transaction banking solutions
* Review, negotiate, and conclude deals while ensuring adherence to FAB s policies and compliance standards
* Maintain credit quality of the client portfolio, ensuring timely credit reviews and satisfactory audit ratings
* Support senior management in strategy development and day-to-day client coverage activities
* Prepare and analyze financial performance reports, budgets, and MIS for portfolio tracking
* Manage KYC and AML requirements in line with regulatory and internal guidelines
* Mentor, motivate, and develop junior team members to strengthen the team s capabilities
* Identify cross-sell opportunities across FAB s global network and products

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor s or Master s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
* 5 10 years of Corporate and Investment Banking experience with exposure to M&A, structured finance, capital markets, and transaction banking
* Strong knowledge of sovereign wealth funds, financial sponsors, and client financing requirements
* Expertise in credit analysis, deal origination, and execution of complex transactions
* Strong financial modeling, analytical, and numerical skills
* Excellent teamwork, communication, and client relationship management skills
* Ability to deliver results under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
* High attention to detail, diligence, and commitment to quality
