Overview

span>Ability to lead a team and create plans for ongoing and upcoming projects./span>

• span>Coordinate with other trades through periodical meetings./span>

• span>Prepare early design concepts and assign mechanical spaces requirements, prepare design drawings and calculations./span>
• span>Prepare Technical Reports and contractual documents of acceptable technical and presentational quality with minimum guidance./span>
• span>Apply new ideas/digital idea to improve solutions and processes to improve efficiency./span>
• span>Receive on the job technical training through performing tasks with minimum supervision./span>
• span>Good knowledge of work procedures and ensure work adheres to procedures./span>
• span>Responsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost./span>
• span>Able to work as reliable and pro-active member of the team, able to apply knowledge gained./span>
• span>Able to work on several projects, and to communicate clearly with a range of people, including making presentations. Flexible and enthusiastic; team player./span>
• span>Conversant with MS Office tools./span>
• span>Experience of working on MENA projects is a must./span>
• span>Awareness of international and local codes (e.g., NFPA, IPC, BS, EN standards)./span>
• span>Review technical material submittals, shop drawings, contractor bids and specifications./span>
• span>Supporting and mentoring, with the possibility of formal line management responsibilities./span>

About you

• span>Must have 10 to 15 years of experience/span>
• span>A sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their application in (Plumbing, Fire Fighting and pumping stations)./span>
• span>Experience in the production of design documentations and drawings including optioneering reports and specifications of mechanical systems./span>
• span>Experience in producing design calculations of mechanical systems for (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting)./span>
• span>Familiar with working to design national and international codes as well as standards appropriate for (Plumbing and Fire Fighting) industry./span>
• span>Ability to produce hydraulic calculations for mechanical equipment, equipment datasheets/specifications and schedules./span>
• span>Pipe sizing calculations, pump sizing calculations, tanks calculations, static pressure calculations etc./span>
• span>General Arrangement drawings for piping and mechanical equipment. Isometric drawings. P&IDs, PFDs etc./span>
• span>Software - AutoCAD, Revit, Elite are essential and should have working knowledge of 3D Models such as Navis works etc./span>
• span>Excellent communication and listening skills./span>
• span>Should be flexible and positive attitude./span>
• span>Writing professional reports./span>
• span>Identifies and communicates concerns to immediate Supervisor./span>
• span>Discusses career goals and aspirations./span>
• span>Able to draft responses to straight forward queries/span>
• span>Acts in best interest of the team at all times./span>
