Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Handle the daily operations of News Library in terms of news media content of newly recorded bulletins and programs through receiving, bar coding, logging, archiving and retrieval.
Fulfil News production staff requests for archived footage and content while working on their bulletins or/and programs.
Correctly identify and approve the relevant labels generated by the AI for Asharq content, and adding new labels where necessary. This will enable newsrooms to find the shots they need more quickly and easily.
Accurately identify important and key people in archived content, ensuring they're tagged by the AI and training the AI to detect them where necessary. This will enable newsrooms to find shots of these people more quickly and easily.
Ensure transcripts are generated in the correct language by the AI for archived content where relevant.
Use of web based platform and video player to efficiently review and process AI generated metadata.
Use Avid Media Central to check and review incoming AI generated metadata and volume of updated content in order to identify and help trouble shoot potential issues with workflow processes.
Thorough understanding of MCUX and search.
Meet team and individual AI processing and cataloguing targets, with the ability to self-monitor progress against target.
Archive and accurately catalogue media, ensuring the content can easily be searched and located by the production teams, and copyright and restrictions are correctly and clearly flagged.
Good understanding of copyright and content re-use restrictions.
