Main Job Responsibilities

• Recommend improvements to departmental policy and support in the implementation of procedures and controls.
• Assist in implementation of QHSE Policy Manual.
• Complete regular checks / inspections and prepare related reports.
• Check the readiness of all hazard and safety systems e.g., fire alarm, firefighting systems and take immediate necessary actions.
• Distribute, check and arrange for the periodical fire extinguishers inspection and maintenance.
• Monitor compliance on the shop floor of the PPEs, SWPs and SOPs and ensure required actions are taken or escalate timely if needed.
• Assist the QHSE Supervisor in the implementation, development and monitoring of the QHSE operations as per policy.
• Participate in risk assessments, accident investigations, communication, planning, Reward and Recognition (R&R), Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP), monitoring, inspections, and audits actively
• Contributes to the continuous improvement of QHSE system
• Follow up with all departments to ensure QHSE reports are done in due time
• Follow up with all departments on the completion of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) completion and provide support where necessary.
• Assist in developing effective communication media for communication at all levels of the business through weekly bulletin and notice boards
• Assist in providing QHSE awareness sessions and coach the site team using different approaches. Support them to implement and comply with all QHSE requirements in a sustainable manner
• Assist in identifying QHSE training needs for the entire team, prepare and execute training programs accordingly
• Coordinate the implementation or conduct QHSE training as identified
• Perform other job-related projects and/or assignments that he/she might be asked to do by his/her direct supervisor/manager for special assistance that are often not mentioned in this job description as they arise under specific circumstances

Education

Bachelor s degree in any related Quality, Health and Safety discipline.
