Roles & Responsibilities

Seeking a Researcher in cybersecurity with a PhD in cybersecurity/Information security/Computer Science with specialization in cybersecurity/Network Security and a minimum of 5 years post-PhD experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong track record of publishing research findings, experience in funded projects, interdisciplinary knowledge, and proficiency in project management.

Lead research in cybersecurity/Information security/ Network security for knowledge growth.

Teach two courses each semester as per UoB policy.

Manage projects, secure funding, and publish findings.

Foster partnerships with industry and other academic institutions for research impact.

Contribute to academic committees and activities.

Mentor students and collaborate for excellence.

Supervise student research projects.

PhD in the field of cybersecurity/Information security/Computer Science with specialization in cybersecurity/Network Security

Minimum of 5 years Post PhD experience

Demonstrated track record of publishing research findings in top-ranked journals.

Experience in working on funded research projects.

Research Skills: Strong research capabilities

Interdisciplinary Knowledge: A broad understanding of interdisciplinary concepts and frameworks relevant to cybersecurity/Information security/Network Security/ Software Engineering with secure software focus/ Data Science with cybersecurity applications.

Project Management: Proficiency in project management, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines and objectives.
